WIFI-Trainer Award 2011
The Most Innovative Trainers Have Been Selected
Awards for the most vivid and most sustainable training concepts - First time award for the category international
The WIFI-Trainer-Award, advertized for the sixth time this year, is an award for the most innovative training concepts developed and implemented during the past 2 course years. „We want to solidify the strengths of our trainers even further, because modern didactical skils are a precondition for vivid and sustainable learning“, stresses Michael Landertshammer, Institute Director of WIFI Austria. „This time the trainers scored with refreshingly creative approaches to support self-learning competence that has become more and more important in view of the necessity of lifelong learning.“
Int total, more than 80 concepts were submitted – among them - for the first time - applications for the category International. Trainers of the Partner WiFIs in Central and Southeastern Europe were invited to apply. An expert jury coming from the fields of Human Resorces Management, the media and education, elected four winners that were awarded with the WIFI-Trainer-Award 2011 on 31 May, 2011 in Vienna:
WIFI-Trainer 2011, Category International:
• János Jurisits, MScEE (WIFI Hungary)
for „Remedy training program addressing typical foremen diseases”: Freshly chosen foremen learn to feel secure in the unfamiliar sandwich-situation between management and staff with personality and communication training, and to strengthen their own roles.
WIFI-Trainer 2011, Category National:
• Alexander Alscher (WIFIs Tyrol, Salzburg, Lower Austria, Styria, Vienna)
for „Quite exiting“: Commercial drivers are obligated to upgrade their knowledge regarding social law provisions and handling digital speedometers. The „dry“ subject matter is developed in the form of a quiz, including their own drivers card and driving and rest periods. This ensures high concentration as well as correct handling in practice in the future.
• Mag. Gergely Téglásy (WIFI Vienna)
for the training course Communication Expert: Prospective communication experts develop profound know-how in all communication channels (print, TV, Web, etc.), namely by a high extent of practical experience.
• Eva Weissberg-Musil (WIFIs Lower Austria, Vienna)
for „learn2flow – fluent learning“: Potential apprentices experience something often new for them: The joy of learning. This is achieved by personal and individual accompaniment as well as by inclusion of pedagogically-didactic and psychological lessons learned from brain and luck research.
„The awarded training concepts are the best proof for the high skills of our trainers", Landertshammer said at the award presentation ceremony. „They are not simply conveyors of knowledge, but committed learning companions that fill advanced education contents with life: Each participant is met where he or she stands and is provided with the best framework conditions possible for personal learning success.“
